That's why I made sure to buy three sets of these when Harald Weber of Germany had them made. They are a full set of photo etch with pins for dash knobs, templates to postition emblems and even clear "glass and gaskets for the wing windows.

Harald did an outstanding photo etch set for the White Freightliner cabover kits as well! Really awesome stuff! He may still have these sets for sale. I can email him and ask if anyone is interested in them.

I would be interested. That etch looks better than my scratchbuilt vents. I never knew the photoetch set existed!

The only problem I see with that, is that the horizontal bars on the vent are always the color of the cab, so It would be hard unless you could order them in a specific color.

They would have to be printed on clear!

That photoetch set would be VERY nice to have!

Just for those of you who'd like to try your own, a couple close-up shots of the 1:1. The red one is an '85 I saw at a junkyard, the blue one is my '59 junker. The grille was the same from '57 to '90.
