realgone58 Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 Picked this old Johan up at a local swap meet for $10.00 Was in worn and scratched factory green with one A pillar missing a chunk. I sanded, cleaned, grafted a new A pillar in, sprayed in a close to factory Lareado Tan metallic with white roof, a little detailing and it's looking better. Still need to get it a new hood ornament. Not quite as nice as I wanted it to be, but not too bad considering the shape it was in plus the fact that it was only 10 bucks. Would have done it back in the green, but I already had the tan.
The Modeling Hermit Posted December 31, 2011 Posted December 31, 2011 That's a beautiful save of a quite rare model.
realgone58 Posted December 31, 2011 Author Posted December 31, 2011 Thanks, guys, for the kind words.

spkgibson Posted January 4, 2012 Posted January 4, 2012 Great Restore, These are fun to rebuild aren't they? I loved doing the 3 74 Cutlass promos that were basically in the same shape as this was, Very nice save, And that color suits the car very well!
