Jon Cole Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 Danbury Mint closing out several nice cars, including the Hirohata Merc & The Dream Truck. If you ever said "someday", now is the time. http://www.danburymint.com/diecast/cat/Last-Chance-Die-Cast-Cars_698.aspx?cm_mmc=DiecastFB-_-Diecast-_-Diecast-_-Link My DM Hirohata:
george 53 Posted January 6, 2012 Posted January 6, 2012 Got this. IF you don't have one, you'll be VERY pleasantly suprised at it. It's like a jewel, it's so perfect! I like the Danbury Mint much better than the Franklin Mint. Seems like DM puts more thought and detail into their models. But that's just my opinion.
Eshaver Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 Even at "Close out " prices , I could never ever afford a Mint built car................. Ed Shaver

FM is playing catch up... and not too well.
Austin T Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 I love the dream truck, but paying for it at close out prices is a nightmare.
58 Impala Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 Their diecasts are a little exspensive, but their quality is fantastic. I'm originally from eastern NY and have been to their showroom in the Danbury mall,I felt like a kid in a candystore without any money. You could easily spend a ton of money in there.
george 53 Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 Not really, Virge, caz if you like cars, You'll like ALOT of the stuff DM makes. They're the folks that got me tobuy Die Cast models. My first die cast was their little green (51?) Pickup. It's the EXACT copy of my Grandfathers truck. Now I have well over 50 of their models and look forward to more. They ARE that nice bro. But I think they MAY be a BIT TOO shiney fer ol eyegore to want them as they are. He'll want to dirty them up, OR worse!!!
trogdor Posted January 7, 2012 Posted January 7, 2012 I have a couple of DMs and if I could afford it I'd have more. They truly are beautiful.
