my80malibu Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 That has lost its gas charge/aerosol. Is there any known way to pump it back up. It is a completely full can that was sitting on my shelf for a few years and now I would like to use it.
Scale-Master Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 Best option is to decant it and airbrush it.
scalenut Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 you can drill the bottom with a small bit and drain it out
58 Impala Posted January 10, 2012 Posted January 10, 2012 I wouldn't drill into any aerosol can, even if you think it has no pressure left. If you do a search on this forum there was a thread on safely decanting paint using a device that pierces copper pipe.
Terry Sumner Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 I've drilled into every can of spray paint that I've decanted over many years...no problem. That said however...I always drill into the can on it's bottom after all the aerosol is out AND I'm holding the can's nozzle ON and upside down.....
JustBill Posted January 11, 2012 Posted January 11, 2012 I think I would just get a new can of paint.
