I am looking for any reference material for a nastolgic mustang coupe (60's body) funny car. I have searched and searched and the closet I have come up with is either 1970 bosses, Pony II's or fast backs, no 60's coupes. Please help as I have already started this project and have a diced up body I am working on.Thanks.

Revell had a Mustang coupe funny. It was patterned after a '69 coupe and molded in metalflake blue. I know that this is not helpful but I am amazed at myself that I remember this.....

Every Mustang-bodied funny car I've ever seen had the fastback body, but regardless of the body, the guts would be the same for any vintage funny car. Do a google search for Mustang funny car, or try these sites:

What car are you looking for?

I have a ton of old 60's drag racing mags.

I have been scanning them for reference pics lately

Greg what I amworking with is the 1964 1/2 Mustang Coupein 1/16. I am looking for a flopper (funny car) of that body style. I wouldlike to maintain a stock body appearence. If I need to do a front spoiler fine, but would rather more or less keep the stock ones. If there is a cool one to find reference on then maybe I will model it. The biggest thing is I am trying to find pics of the rear of the cars. Oddly enough everyone seems to take pics of only the front of the cars. I need to know how they mounted the chute in those days and how the push bar was done. I have only found one reference of wich, but that was a altered not a flopper. Thanks for any help.
