I am assuming you also mean model, right?

Here's one from the early 40s used to recon UFOs in and around (over) Area 51! LOL, that's my story and I am sticking to it:

My personal pickup while in the service. Aluminum body and some type of Chrysler V8.

Mike, If I recall correctly, anything based on a M113 chassis had a Chrysler 360 ci engine. We didn't use those, but boy I drove a lot of Deuces in my day, 5 tons too.

A 360 .. that sounds about right. Thanks for the info, Wayne. We had tons of 5 tons too. I've looked but never found any kits to make one.

I think AFV Club makes a 1/35th scale deuce and a 5 ton. There is a resin 5 ton available from Tankworkshop but it's expensive as all get out. Tamiya makes a deuce but it's a WW2 era Studebaker I believe.

This started out as a Corvair Rat Rod build, but it's morphed into a P-40 "Flying Tiger" tribute piece. This body shot is the only W.I.P. photo I have of it so far. The coupe body has been reworked into a true roadster with no provision for a top, and it's been shortened about 8 scale inches behind the doors. I've modified the kit racing seats into bomber-style buckets, fabbed an aircraft-style instrument panel for it, and even modified the steering wheel into an airplane control yoke. This one's been stalled for about a year now, but I keep meaning to jump back on it and get it finished. If anybody knows where I can get my hands on a set of shark jaw and leaping tiger decals, as well as other related markings for this build, please let me know.

Ok, here's mine! I used the decals from the Monogram 1/48 F-14A Tomcat. As you can see, they had some stray black ink on them so I decided to use a different set on the plane itself. This one started as an AMT Slammers kit. I filled the hood sides and grille, added the aluminum exhaust tips and turned the salt flat disks on my lathe... Simple, easy build, I hope you like it!

I'm loving seeing all these builds here! Makes me want to go for a spin in my 5 Ton .. if the MP's didn't take my logbook because out trucks had NO identification markings! That is like driving without a icense plate.:P:D
