HI, Just wanted to put my view about doing trades with MCM members. I have done at least 15 or so trades with people on this site. All have gone well, never had any complaints. I can't understand why someone would be mad enough to slam someone if they never did a deal with them. So, if your trade offer is not accepted, move on and don't hold a grudge. That is what I do. Never had any trouble with the guys here other than one "evil" person. I even had one member ask me if I wanted some parts ( for free! ) that i had only expressed an interest in and hadn't actually asked for!

I have traded and been given parts by others here, and I have also given others parts....Know who you deal with...most here are topnotch!

I'm still waiting on some stuff for a trade I made quite a while ago, other than that, I've had no problems here

I've had people get better offers on trades that I asked about, they took the better offer. No big deal. I'm glad that they got what they wanted in their transaction.

Whats the problem? Thats life. :P

Cheers, Ian

Ian makes some valid points here . Ya'all might want to read carefully what he said. The problem I have with SOME people is their description of said items . SOME people here will tell ya they have an item . You make a deal in GOOD Faith only to receive a mere pitance of what you were led to have been led to beleive .............. Yes , you know whom I'm refering to too.........THATS ALL Ed Shaver

Why can't we all just get along & play fair? I just made a trade that I'm afraid is gonna be one-sided.....in MY favor. I sent my end out before the other guy did, then he kept adding stuff on. He has several good refs. in the good trader section, so I trust him. If I feel I got "the better" of him, I will offer to make it right !!!! That's all it takes, guys.

hi, i started this discussion because someone was flaming about deals that were never agreed on. Offers were made, but were not accepted. Telling members not to deal with a member because on a trade that was never agreed of is not right. Steve

Thanks for the kudos Steve. :)

I hope this issue gets resolved, I'd hate to see people leave or stop trading because of some bad blood...Just isn't right

Here is the way I see it guys, So far I have had Very little trouble in trading here really, Because I know the guys I'm working with is why, But You know what other sites do is Post a

Trade Rating next to here Icon Room names, Showing how well or Not So well, there doing in trading as they go along, and The more trades you do,.."Good Or Bad",..

its shows up on that ratting posted By other members of the site there on that have done the trade with them there in that way.....

Now I'm not really saying we need to do that here,.But If I where in charge of such a thing,..I WOULD DO JUST THAT , Only because I have seen it Work on other sties VERY WELL

...and if it works there, And it is a problem here,..Then its SHOULD BE DONE.,.

Until then, I don't know if I EVEN WILL do much more trading here my self with anyone I DON'T KNOW, because Every time I post something over there in that section it seems,

Some MISSED GUIDED YOUTH shell we say,..lol..,.. JUST HAS TO try and shoot it down, by telling me what it is and isn't wroth,..I mean, either You wont it for a trade, Or you don't,..

But if they could just would LEARN to leave it be if there not interested in the darn Item, Then that would be well enough,..

But some of them, Never seem to learn is all,..and reporting them More then likely wont help anything Or stop them as well...

Even know I cant stand a Self Appointed Reporting Room Cop my self,...lol..lol..every where you go telling me as well like that really,..So I try and handle it my self when that happens

By just removing the post...lol....lol.. and leaving,..Also By just Staying way form the fools and working with ONLY the 90% of the ones that I can work with is all....

What else CAN WE DO....but it should be address and done right by that method really,..By Make a TRADE RATTING I should think..

But then again,.... that just THE WAY I SEE IT IS ALL,...lol..lol.

Ian

Isn't that what the "great trader" threads for? Do we really need a score? So the guy who doesn't like your argument can run your score down just in spite?

OK, I know I'll look like an idiot here, but inquiring minds want to know. I admit that I don't hang out in here as much as I'd like, but I wasn't aware that Ken had "un-moderated". So is there someone else or are we just adrift? I've had one person on "that other forum" burn me. No big deal, I would have given him the parts for nothing, but HE offered the trade, then stiffed me and started ignoring emails and PMs. I've had MANY good trades on this board, in fact none bad. I've made some good friends here and, yes, I've sent a number of parts out for free just to help a brother out (and a sister, counting Michelle). I usually prefer to assume somebody trustworthy until they prove to be otherwise.

I'm just playing devils advicte from my eBay experiences, no one has anything to say unless it's bad, then everyone knows it. Well, they know one side of it anyway. That's all, but I'm sure it does work.

Ken quit moderating the Trades section a looooooong time ago. If anyone out there is willing to step in and be the Trades section moderator, let us know.

Just so you know... it can get messy, you'll wind up dealing with people flinging accusations at each other, and the pay sucks.

Other than that, it's a great gig!

If ya gonna trade with someone,

check out their Posting History

That will tell ya a lot about some people.

I do and haven't had any issues and would trade with Most people with out Question.

Okay, One Person but I had a feeling that's where it was going so I wasn't surprised ^_^ :D

Ken did a fantastic job! Before trading I always sent him a PM asking about the person I was planning to trade with. I was disappointed when I PM'd him and he said he no longer performed as the trade moderator. I asked him for procedures & info because I was interested in keeping the valuable service alive. I never heard back.

Thanks, Bart. I've been trying to figurre out how to track good and bad traders. Maybe an Excel spreadsheet or and Access database. In either case, there's 24 pages in the good trader thread and there's a bunch of names. It would take quite a bit of manual input to create the list. That's why I asked Ken for some information. Any ideas on how to track traders would certainly be welcome.

You & I traded fine. I know that's not always the case. It is most of the time. When it's not,SAY SO!!! maybe a BAD traders list would do more good. Of course then we have more policing, and misunderstanding. JUST be fair!!!
