Nick Winter Posted January 15, 2012 Author Posted January 15, 2012 No, thinking Small Block Chevy Stroker motor. Thanks Guys, more to follow. Nick
mikemodeler Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 I am liking the 3 window cab Nick, did you have to re-do it after the yellow paint was shot? Looks like some final bodywork is needed where you filled in the windows. The rally wheels and small block power should make this a nice little truck!
Nick Winter Posted January 16, 2012 Author Posted January 16, 2012 Actually I got the truck as a built up and used it as paint practice a while back, but yes it needs a bit of final work yet. Nick
jeffs396 Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 That'll look GOOD as a 3-window cab Nick! Do you know where the Rallys with open lug detail came from?
Nick Winter Posted January 16, 2012 Author Posted January 16, 2012 Jeff there from the AMT '74 Corvette, I assume they were in some of the MPC Vette annuals also. Nick
mikemodeler Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 Cool Nick, I will be watching this one. Your skills have come a long way and I am sure you will do this one justice! You gonna keep it yellow or change the color?
Nick Winter Posted January 16, 2012 Author Posted January 16, 2012 Mike the yellow is gone, went with a baby blue, primer and semi black color combo. Nick
wraith Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 NIce work so far! I have the same kit in my stash and I am giving it the same treatment. Ratted shop truck. I even filled in the rear side windows to. It's on the way back burner on my list though. I will be watching your build.
Bartster Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 Love the 3-window conversion. I'm following this one!

Nick Winter Posted July 9, 2012 Author Posted July 9, 2012 So January was the last time I updated this build, hmmmmm been a while Eh? Since day one it's been a back-burner project, just something to work on while I wait for things. So here's the progress since the last time I updated this topic (took about 20 minutes to find it). Added some bumper guards to the only bumper. Did some more frame work and relocated the gas tank. Backyard door panels The dash, have a gauge panel for it that will be installed later Nick
Nick Winter Posted October 4, 2012 Author Posted October 4, 2012 Okay back working on this one, had to dig threw 9 pages to find it. Scratchbuilt a class IV receiver for it, and yes you can pull the drop/rise out and swap it around. Nick
