imatt88 Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 Hey all, Just throwing out this question..Is there any place that sells aftermarket parts for '70-74 Cuda/Challengers? I've found a couple of websites that sell hoods, but I'm thinking more like valve covers, stock exhaust manifolds, outside mirrors, different rims, that sort of thing The rebuilds I'm working on now, are missing basic stuff, so I'm looking for places that sell parts.. Thanks, Cheers, Ian
Casey Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 I think you'll have better luck in the trade section, especially for stock parts, as most aftermarket parts will be geared toward custom or non-stock parts. The Modelhaus offer many stock replacement parts for older promos and '60s era kits, but I'm not sure if they offer anything for the Mopar E-bodies. I would try posting exactly what you need (scale, manufacturer, and part such as: 1/25 MPC '70 Barracuda exhaust manifolds) in the Swap/Trade/Free section, as a 1/24 Monogram part will not work on a 1/25 MPC kit, and so on. If it's non-stock custom wheels, engine parts (Mopar Performance valve covers, etc. you are after, there are a few sources for resin cast parts, but sometimes kits contain those parts, too.
imatt88 Posted January 16, 2012 Author Posted January 16, 2012 Casey, Yeah, I guess I could try the wanted section. I'll try it and see what happens
Mr. Moparman Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 I know this place that is a junkyard for model builders. Basically, a bunch of parts if you need to replace a lost one, ect. Newt's Boneyard - Home
Bartster Posted January 16, 2012 Posted January 16, 2012 "dave@newtsboneyard.com" Dave is a great guy. I'm in the process of my 3rd deal with him.
imatt88 Posted January 28, 2012 Author Posted January 28, 2012 (edited) Dave is my plastic pimp I've done many deals with him and actually sent him a bunch of stuff once. I just picked up a couple of Mopar chassis' from him this week. He's got some other Mopar stuff as well, but I'll have to wait until payday... Edited January 28, 2012 by imatt88
