John Pol Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 There was someone on here that put Bare Metal Foil on before paint on the badges. Can someone explain how this is done how to remove the paint off the badges before affecting the BMF. Any help would be great. John Pol
62rebel Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 very very fine polish and a very light hand. it looks fabulous when it's carried out correctly, but it doesn't allow for mistakes.
John Pol Posted January 17, 2012 Author Posted January 17, 2012 Do you put the polish on a toothpick just for the badges or what? John
Deathgoblin Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 If I remember correctly, they laid the foil down on the washed and dried bare plastic part and burnished it down tight. Then primered and painted as needed, using a rubber pencil eraser to rub through the layers. I don't remember whether they "erased" after each layer or after everything was down. I hope this helps.
stulee11 Posted January 17, 2012 Posted January 17, 2012 if i remember rightly... excatly as brian said but erasing after each layer
John Pol Posted January 17, 2012 Author Posted January 17, 2012 Ok i will try that I just wonder if they did it just before paint was all dry or not. John
