I am building this for another forum we have a build off for Gassers that you would probaly never see and i decided to put the build over here also. I am starting off with a ford courier monroe magnum kit adding the motor, trans, fuel cell batteries and some other parts from a snake bite montster truck. here is some mock up pics of the progress so far.

Cool! I had a Courier back in the early eighties. It was a great little truck. Cool subject for a gasser. Keep going.

I own 2 of them and on another forum we had to build a gasser from you imagination and i though it would be cool to see a courier gasser so that what got me started

Looks good from hear

For a second I almost thought you were talking to your self...then I noticed the names are different for both avatars...

I think it looks great like it is, it might want to squat a little when you get on it, but just try and keep it pointed north and you should be fine...

When I read 'Ford Courier gasser', I was only half-expecting this- I thought you had a resin '50's Courier sedan delivery body and were building a gasser with that. I do like Couriers, and I like seeing the gasser look used on unorthodox vehicles. Can't wait to see how this one turns out!

here is a pic of the motor and interior attached to the frame. I also test fitted the cab and have no room for the radiator. so I guess i am going to go for a rear bed mounted radiator

There isn't much room in the engine bay of these Courier's, that's for sure. For the 302-swapped version I'm building, I had to use an electric fan and put it outside the engine bay as a pusher. I did have to cut up the kit's radiator support to fit a bigger radiator, though.

Josh: Being a 61 year old gasser freak, I'd lower the rear end at least 1/4 inch (real life 1/4 inch). The nose high altitude was used in the old days because we did not have the nice wide sticky slicks they have today. Plus nobody glued the track. It was nice to run after the funny cars because they would spread "gold dust" (rosin) to help with traction. Great project and super subject! Aaron Dupont
