peter31a Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 Cool! I had a Courier back in the early eighties. It was a great little truck. Cool subject for a gasser. Keep going.

I own 2 of them and on another forum we had to build a gasser from you imagination and i though it would be cool to see a courier gasser so that what got me started

deathskull59 Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 wow cool gasser that one is looking really cool.
01blueedge Posted January 30, 2012 Author Posted January 30, 2012 i haven't had much time to work on this lately but i have put the finished the suspension. The only thing is I wanting some feed back to if you think the back is sitting to high thanks.
moparmagiclives Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 Looks good from hear For a second I almost thought you were talking to your self...then I noticed the names are different for both avatars... I think it looks great like it is, it might want to squat a little when you get on it, but just try and keep it pointed north and you should be fine...
Dr. Cranky Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 Neat subject for a gasser, and I like the way it is turning out.
Chuck Most Posted January 30, 2012 Posted January 30, 2012 When I read 'Ford Courier gasser', I was only half-expecting this- I thought you had a resin '50's Courier sedan delivery body and were building a gasser with that. I do like Couriers, and I like seeing the gasser look used on unorthodox vehicles. Can't wait to see how this one turns out!
01blueedge Posted February 1, 2012 Author Posted February 1, 2012 here is a pic of the motor and interior attached to the frame. I also test fitted the cab and have no room for the radiator. so I guess i am going to go for a rear bed mounted radiator
Fabrux Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 There isn't much room in the engine bay of these Courier's, that's for sure. For the 302-swapped version I'm building, I had to use an electric fan and put it outside the engine bay as a pusher. I did have to cut up the kit's radiator support to fit a bigger radiator, though.
aarondupont Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 Josh: Being a 61 year old gasser freak, I'd lower the rear end at least 1/4 inch (real life 1/4 inch). The nose high altitude was used in the old days because we did not have the nice wide sticky slicks they have today. Plus nobody glued the track. It was nice to run after the funny cars because they would spread "gold dust" (rosin) to help with traction. Great project and super subject! Aaron Dupont
01blueedge Posted February 3, 2012 Author Posted February 3, 2012 finished pics in under glass section
