george 53 Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 Ed, it's R&R's. The original was an All American job i believe. THIS is the one I have Sorry, it's NOT a 78 like I thought, it's a 71.
Leadworks Posted January 22, 2012 Posted January 22, 2012 Some Olds came with Pontiac Engines...and some Pontiac came with Olds Engines......like some of the early Trans-Ams...77-80, Years....Go Crazy......let your mind wonder...looks like it's going to be a Good Build...

montelsc Posted January 23, 2012 Author Posted January 23, 2012 For scale master yes it is all the parts are in there that 72 was a great kit it has excellent detail
Scale-Master Posted January 23, 2012 Posted January 23, 2012 Ahhh, that explains why you aren't using the 455 from it now. Yes, I agree, it is a nice kit, I built the white and gold one and the bronze one for the original issue box art.
Swifster Posted January 25, 2012 Posted January 25, 2012 (edited) Any 400, 425 or 455 Olds engine should work. That's definitely an interesting car. Also keep in mind that GM didn't really start swapping engines between divisions until '75 or '76... Edited January 25, 2012 by Swifster
montelsc Posted January 25, 2012 Author Posted January 25, 2012 Thanks for the reply im going to try and make the 454 look like an olds eng my main concern was the auto trans this chassis wouldnt look right with a gear box
