This is my F-1 Cannonball build. Wasn't the farm truck look I was wanting but it looks nice in this shade of blue. Had to sand and paint a few times because of paint that gathered and looked black. I just clear coated but haven't posted pictures. I painted the bed first. I know it's not the greatest but I don't do BMF so....

I can't decide steelies or chrome wheels?

Here's the kit.

Good start, but why don't you do bare metal? Just curious.

I just don't. I have never bought any. I never plan to anyhow.

I knew a guy that built a similar model - didn't use BMF either - he just used some 1/8 inch silver pinstriping tape between the boards - it looked pretty good. Just a suggestion...

Love the color - that's great

cool truck but you can touch up those sloppy looking areas on the bed. with some brown paint to make it look better. thats what i do when things on my models look kinda sloppy.

It's....it's......BEAUTIFUL!!!! I worked some more on it while I stayed home with some sickness.

List of completions today.

*Chrome on hood

*Clear coated hood, cab, and body

*Started on the engine (Not complete)

*Put whitewalls on the tires

*Painted firewall and back of wheels

*Finished grille and front bumper

I took this picture of it in the sun. Nice pretty paint...

Looks great,! If your'e painting the bed strips you could try lightly running a #11 blade to out line the molding. I've used this to help keep the paint from bleeding out onto the wood. This is a nice model, but I straggled with the grill/lower front fenders. There is very little to support the two parts where they are joined. .

I got some done today.

I got the engine finished.

Here's the interior. The nut is only there to hold the steering wheel up.

Here's the dash. It's not in the interior because I need to get the nut out.

Here are the wheels. Body color.

This is what silver paint and some paint brushes. Remember NO BMF HERE.

Now I can't decide. Side pipes or no?

Looking good Seal, nice pick on the color. I painted a motorcycle that same blue a few years ago. It looks gorgeous out in the sun under a few coats of clear.
