bbowser Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 Very nice. You do such clean work on the neatest obscure subjects. I love it!
Bartster Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 Excellent point. We all do get carried away at times. This build proves great results can come from keeping it simple as well.
62rebel Posted January 27, 2012 Posted January 27, 2012 could i get you to post some WIP pics on the workbench forum? i'd like to see what the kit starts out like. is it basically the normal kit with additional Nascar parts
Dave Van Posted January 27, 2012 Author Posted January 27, 2012 Thanks for the comments. I tend to keep it simple in my current builds. For years I did the full blown contest builds. After I won 2nd place at the 1990 Hot Rod International Model Championship I found I did not enjoy contest building any longer. That combined with arthritis and macular degeneration....and I am much happier with simple builds. I build for myself but still enjoy sharing. There are some more in progress pic in the album http://public.fotki.com/DaveVan51/2012-builds/ And when I feel like it I will still do the full blown detail....but not often as it becomes work!!
