JollySipper Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 I dont understand the "Really?" I dont know the Doc as well as you guys do, but I thought that was a legitimate question. He has probably written tons and my ignorance is showing. I know he has tons of tutorials on the forum just haven't read them all
SuperStockAndy Posted January 31, 2012 Author Posted January 31, 2012 Tim, Doc does indeed have a book. Although I don't know much about it
JollySipper Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Thanks for setting me straight guys! Im new to the forum and have really just met the man, but he is an amazing builder and i figured he would share the wealth of knowledge
Harry P. Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Virgil has written quite a few books (poetry and novels)... but just one on modeling. Click the link in his signature to go to his website, where you'll find more info. And yes, Tim, that was a legitimate question. I didn't understand the "really?" either.
Roadkill2525 Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Prof. Suarez pretty much runs around here with a profesional wreslting style persona called Dr. Cranky, he post stuff like "Eyecandy", his "how-to" book is just to showcase his builds and inflate his obese ego.

JollySipper Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 I just read Doc's wikipedia! I didn't know he was such a respected figure in literature. I guess I'll do more research next time before showing my ignorance! Sorry Doc! and to Keef I didnt think we were allowed to be jerks on here... the thread should prob ask "Do you follow Greggs instructions"!!!
Steve Keck Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 That is blasphemy, it's really not that hard to build a model of a kind you're familiar with without instructions According to Dictionary.com: Definitions of 'blasphemy' [blas-fuh-mee] Dictionary.com - (Showing 1 definitions) (noun) 1. irreverent speech or action concerning sacred things You've scrambled your dieties thar, young'un

I seen the book on models in this magazine a wile back, but I had no idea it went farther.... Way farther then some weathering how too's. Very cool. I guess you never really know who's hiding behind the screen name sometimes .
JollySipper Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Yea it seems that Doc has written about 17 books and is a very well respected poet and novelist! Those who know him better know that already but I was suprised when I read his Wikipedia.

Steve Keck Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Now, why did you go through all that trouble to find that again? I only found it once...........no trouble.........I learned something..........never to old, or young, to learn
Scale-Master Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 I guess you never really know who's hiding behind the screen name sometimes . No, you don't...
Green Duster Posted January 31, 2012 Posted January 31, 2012 Haven't really gone by the step by step in a long time. Just use it as a guide. I build 99% Mopars. I think by now I should know how they go together. I do to much kit bashing. to really use them.
