502 Posted January 28, 2012 Posted January 28, 2012 (edited) Heres a few of my recent builds. 2000 Crown Vic 1966 Chevelle Wagon Edited January 28, 2012 by 502
MyBradKeselowski Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 Very nicely done, both are great builds. The Chevelle looks very realistic...
2000-cvpi Posted January 29, 2012 Posted January 29, 2012 Nice looking Crown Vic, I used to own a 00 CVPI. By now its probably been used as a demo derby car. I sold it over five years ago. The Vic seat in the Chevelle is a nice touch. Good builds.
502 Posted February 2, 2012 Author Posted February 2, 2012 (edited) Heres a few of my older builds. 1960 Ford Starliner 1976 Caprice Wagon This was a replica of a real car. It was from the mid 90s. I dont have the picture of the original car anymore or I would post it. Edited February 2, 2012 by 502
Monte's Motors Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 The '66 Chevelle engine plate looks like a good idea for the real thing.
promo55 Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 I love demolition derbies, and your cars. Is the Chevy wagon scatchbuilt from a Caprice coupe?
38special Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 The '66 Chevelle engine plate looks like a good idea for the real thing. Its a great idea for the real ars. That one is somewhat modeled after one somebody sells. the setup goes between the engine and tranny and goes up behind the distributor then a hoop off of that plate goes around the top of the intake to the front plate and bolts to it to tie it all together and there is a cradle that bolts to the motor mounts and the front 4 boltholes on a small block chevy to tie it all together. This setup is designed when you use a bar from the cage the the back of the midplate to help keep the frontend from bending up and it evens out the pressure on the motor so you don't ruin a motor.
502 Posted February 3, 2012 Author Posted February 3, 2012 Yea the Chevy wagon was scratch built from the 2dr caprice. I'm working on another one now that is alot better. That car was a very simple build. It took me about a week, just a couple hours each night.
gray07 Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 Great job, very realistic, my wife and her family run in demos, ive posted some pictures of there truck in the truck section.
