The bottom strip is .030 half round. The top strip is .020 round stock that I sanded down.

Few more updates. I did make my own trim for the bedsides a while back. I had a messed it up when I originally cut the bed down years ago. I also started on some shorty headers tonight.

Thank you. Yea, those door handles would be a big help. Do you know someone that makes them or have a tip for making my own?

A lot has happened since I last posted. I’m not as active on the forums anymore. You can follow me @lowlifescale on Instagram if you’re on there. I post updates pretty frequently. Here’s some updates. I’ve been doing a lot of scratch work. Interior and engine bay is pretty much done. I also finished up the floor pans.

The compressors and rearend are printed.

I’m not sure on the kit. I bought it as an old built up. I know mpc has a 68 kit.

Thanks and yes I got them from shapeways. I think 3d model specialties is who I got them from.

Just a few more updates, made some tiny mounts for my sway bar endlinks. Also knocked out a tank and compressor mount. The last picture is just detail work to my bag plates.

Thanks for the comments guys. It’s slow going but any progress is good progress right? Built my fuel cell today. I’m gonna work on mounting my tank and compressors next.

Had this rack and pinion setup laying around. I just cut and modified it to fit.

I’m gonna try to knock this one out as a quick curbside. I just bought an airbrush so I figured it would be a good kit to get some practice on. If anyone has built these trucks you know the quality is terrible. It seems that nothing on the cab fits as it should. I scratch built the service bed.

57/58 hoods are the same aside from the badges. Yes I know the grilles are different and I’m looking for both of them.

Does anyone offer a 57-58 f100 hood and grille? I know it’s out there cause I’ve seen them. I was talking to a guy a couple years ago that casted them but his name has slipped my mind.

The casting on the back side of the tires aren’t quite good enough. So unfortunately they’ll have to stay that way.

Got this one back on the bench. Front suspension is almost done aside from the rack and pinion. I’ll also probably add some bolt heads as well.

JPS Custom Wheels

I can tell you its definitely getting an LS engine. I haven't decided whether to go with the modern look or dress it up as an older small block.

Ordered some of those jps custom wheels. I have to say they are top notch. I chromed the center caps and the slots. Then I hand painted the red lines. I’m waiting on some parts to come in then I’ll start the suspension work.

I’ve messed around with this truck going on 4 years now and it’s time to finally build it. I cut it down to a short bed a couple years ago. Made some plans and scratch built a new frame for it. I have some of those jps custom wheels on the way. This build will probably get some sort of LS engine. Haven’t completely decided what I’m gonna use yet.
