Thanks for the comments, glad you like it. I made the intake from the stock one that comes with the revell 57 ford. The carbs are from the revell parts pack Cadillac engine. I've said this numerous times myself, can't believe there isn't any aftermarket louvered hoods. I'm surprised revell never offered a louvered hood in their 32 kits.
  3. At first I wasn't so sure about your frame choice. After seeing it cleaned up that is an awesome idea. I've seen a few early fords running tubular frames like this and I really like it just cause its different. Also the adjustable mount for the front axle is excellent.
  4. Moved to under glass. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/127244-29-model-a-823c/

I'm calling this one done and I am really happy with how it turned out. This car has fought me the whole way, seems like its been one problem after another.
  6. This build is over the top, excellent work.
  7. Thanks, I really just wanted to make this thing look like it’s been used and drove hard. I should have it finished up tomorrow so I’ll make a post in under glass.
  8. Trying to get this wrapped up. The list is getting smaller by the hour.
  9. I really wanted to go to Atlanta but it just didn’t work out. I’m going to Dayton this weekend. Thanks Dennis! I lettered it this morning. My goal for today is to get the top ready for paint.
  10. Finally getting somewhere on this thing. Started weathering the body tonight. Trying to finish it up for a show on Saturday but still a lot of work left.
  11. Thanks for sharing that. I've looked around on there a few times, there is a lot of good parts on there.
  12. Here is the link to the frenzel supercharger. Search their other items and you can find the Kong heads. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F202082061902
  13. Thanks for the comments. Its a dream of mine to rip around in an old hot rod at el mirage, maybe one day... I actually didnt buy the kong heads I only bought the frenzel supercharger . I just used the picture from the ebay add. They are selling the kong heads on ebay though.
  14. A bit more work done on the a pillar. I’m gonna have to pick up some files to finish it. Lol my fingers are to fat to get in there to work the details out. I really need to get the lines in the door sharpened up. I’m more than pleased with my first attempt at this.
  15. I want to do something different so I'm not sure yet. I wouldn't mind doing an olds rocket motor or a flat head. I bought a frenzel supercharger off ebay this morning for a flat head so that might be neat. I started patching the a pillars, it’s gonna take a little work getting the door lines matched up.
  16. Thank you. I tend to prefer an angled chop, to me it just looks nasty. On a hard chop I think leaning the a pillars back is a must. However that's just my opinion so take that for what its worth (probably not much lol). I fell in love with Ben Haag's "pale rider", this car has aided in my obsession with these style cars. After seeing this car earlier this year I've since wanted to do a similar chop but on a 5 window.
  17. Last night I finished aligning the b and c pillar. I split the b pillar at the door seam, made a couple cuts and moved it forward.
  18. I have been captivated by the Rolling Bones over the past year with a growing interest in traditional hot rods. I needed a break from my 29 roadster so I started chopping this 32. I’ve been wanting to do a hard chop with the a pillars leaned back for sometime now. For whatever reason I’ve always had a thing for the 5 windows whether it be a 32 or 33/34. It’s gone pretty smooth for it being my first time chopping a car. I’m going to try to get the doors lined up and filled in tomorrow.
  19. That really looks great.
  20. I took the top from the amt 29 roadster. Made a few cuts and chopped it up. It still needs some work but I finally achieved the look I wanted.
  21. I made some mounts for my headlights. I don’t like the model a dash. The revell kit comes with a 32 style dash. I’m assuming it’s an error because it doesn’t really fit and it’s missing the insert. So I modified it,made an insert, and robbed the cluster from the 32 5 window.
  22. Nice work, I love seeing these traditional builds on here.
  23. Finished up the rear suspension tonight. Decided to mock everything up for a final test fit before it all goes into paint.
  24. Thanks for the comments. I got my rearend mounted today. It still needs some cleanup and some fine details worked out.
  25. The grille reminded me a lot of this 34 being built by the rolling bones. Personally I think the grille being straight up creates a more aggressive look.
