I've been wanting to do a gasser so I figured it was time to build one. I had this 55 nomad sitting on the shelf for a little while and thought I'd put it to use. If anyone has seen this kit the frame is going to require some scratch work but it shouldn't be that bad. Here's a quick mock up from last night to give you an idea of what its going to look like. If anyone doesn't understand the door lettering its just a little trailer park boys humor from the tv show. For some reason I cant post pictures from photobucket so I guess the attachments will have to do for now.

Darren here is the link to his old site so you can atleast see what he offers. It will probably be just a little bit before you could order anything. He's been gone for about the past year. He said he had family issues to deal with so now he's in the process of finishing the orders he already had. He is a good guy to deal with and he has good parts. The site probably has some contact info on it. http://jbhobbies.freewebspace.com/ -

Those pulleys are from jb hobbies. -
I thought I would post this under glass since its now completely finished. I took it to derby city shoot out this past weekend and took 3rd place in the rat rod class. I also won best rat rod at a local show several months ago. So now its on to the next build. I'm going to start a 37 ford pickup real soon.

Nice looking little truck you got. Something similar to this setup might look good. I think the colors would look good anyways. https://keithsonlinecruisein.shutterfly.com/10640#10639 -

I think the stacks are perfect. They would look dumb if any smaller. -

I think the body looks great. Maybe alittle too much rust on the motor though. I would put some hub caps on it. Heck I would probably just use the stock ones the kit comes with. -

Well here it is. For the front I took a match and heated up the edge of the a arm up against the frame and bent it up. The lower a arms can be bent without any heat. for the back I did it just like any custom frame so the truck would sit low. I dont have a picture of the frame finished but I just made a simple box over top of the rearend allowing the frame to drag the ground. I have it finished now so I will get some pictures of it tonight. -

I will get you some pictures of how I did mine. The front was really simple but I decided to scratcbuild the rear half of my frame. I guess it really depends if you want looks or accuracy.
