Trans Am Erik Posted June 30, 2012 Posted June 30, 2012 WOA! I wasn't expecting THAT! Really cool idea going with the mid engine. Could we see a profile shot? Those scoops use up a lot of real estate on the side of that car. I did forget to ask: Now that the Cordvette is mid engine, Are the fender vents functional or just a style feature?
Ira Posted June 30, 2012 Author Posted June 30, 2012 couldnt you just combine the cord and vette chassis/interior to fit it properlyish? sorry im not exactly the best with this stuff i just recently started my first build where i majory modify the body. It's a little more involved, because of the body mods, everything else has to be modified...
Ira Posted June 30, 2012 Author Posted June 30, 2012 Keeps getting better. Can't wait to see the end result. Thanks John!
Psychographic Posted June 30, 2012 Posted June 30, 2012 (edited) The intakes for the engine are a nice touch. This thing gets better with each update. Edited June 30, 2012 by Psychographic

Ira Posted July 1, 2012 Author Posted July 1, 2012 FIREWALL!!! I started by drawing the Firewall Mounting Line, then I drew a Rear Window Line above the Firewall. Next I glued in a strip of plastic for the Window Frame and 2 pieces of plastic for Firewall Mounts... I cut out the Firewall from sheet plastic. Here it is in place!
Ira Posted July 2, 2012 Author Posted July 2, 2012 (edited) THE UNDERSIDE!!!! I traced the shape of the open area and cut out a piece of .080 Sheet Plastic for the Belly Pan... Next I cut a piece of plastic to cover the open area between the Front Fenders. Here are both pieces in place! Edited July 2, 2012 by Ira

Ira Posted July 4, 2012 Author Posted July 4, 2012 WOA! I wasn't expecting THAT! Really cool idea going with the mid engine. Could we see a profile shot? Those scoops use up a lot of real estate on the side of that car. I did forget to ask: Now that the Cordvette is mid engine, Are the fender vents functional or just a style feature? Thanks Eric! The vents are meant to represent functional vents. More photos coming soon...
