tc012009 Posted February 6, 2012 Posted February 6, 2012 Hi, just joined this great forum and thought I'd share one of my Sci-Fi kits. This is the Ikaruga which was manufactured by the model company Kotobukiya. The model is painted using a combination of rustoleum and Humbrol spray paint, citadel and tamiya acrylics and Kosutte Ginsan. This took about two weeks to complete and was an incredibly enjoyable model to work on. It does require glue in a few spots and is fragile model when complete, so I would recommend it to a more experienced modeler rather then someone just starting out with the hobby. I have some content on youtube which shows the model being built and more finished pics. Vids: WIP: Finished Display:
tc012009 Posted February 6, 2012 Author Posted February 6, 2012 COOL ! ....what is it ? Its actually a fictional Fighter Craft that features in a video game called Ikaruga. I know very little about the game, but was attracted to the model purely by its really unusual aesthetics. It was huge fun to build and paint, I posted a picture of some line art for the model below as a reference
Shardik Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 I'm curious about the "wave" graphics on the side panels. Is that a decal or hand painted?
