Just got my Revell 2010 Camaro SS kits in. I must say, this is a WICKED kit!!! I am going to be building this one Like another 1:1 that I see around town. I have already started on the "sinister" aftermarket hood, which I will probly cast and offer in the near future. I am waiting on someone to make orange stripes so that I can replicate MY 1:1. I am using wheels from a maisto die-cast, they seem to be a bit more accurate.

I will be finishing this one in GM Summit white, with black stripes, and various details. I spent half my time working out of town, so I will be slow on updating.

That is a cool idea with the rims and loving the hood. Let me know when your into the casting stage.

Will do! I plan to cast the Sinister hood, and the hood with the vette ZR1 window to replicate the new baldwin motion cars.

the concept kits wheels are slightly more aggressive than the kit supplied versions, definitely an improvement there as far as looks.

how did you do the deeper rear wheels and the dished lip?

I found some pegasus wheels with a close Diameter and cut them down and re-shaped them a bit

I got it as a started projecy from David@minidreams its 2 Tahoes lengthened into a suburban, then after I got it, I mated a 454SS front clip to it, so that it could be a fll detail build. I also added a resin 4x4 chassis.

Hey there, I'm new into building cars (mostly do trucks) but came across this post and I am very impressed with the camaro buillds. I do have a few questions though, I see that Revell and AMT make the new camaro, which manufacturer is the one that makes the pace car, Im just mainly interested in the "heritage style" grill (like the one in your red convertable) but is also in the indy pace car as well.

I would get that body cast in resin!

I have thought of canvasing a few casters to see what could be done, once the body is completed

AMT Makes the Convertible/pace car they are only available as the promo which goes for around 35.00 on ebay, it comes with the heritage grille. I will also be casting the grill, as well as the MPD SINISTER hood, when I get around to it.

Nice work Mike! Glad to see you are still building!

AMT has a convertible curbside kit coming in a month or two...I'll have to get one of those promos, as there is no indication the kit will come w/ pace car decals.

James , it feels great to be back at building. I just want to finish something, it seems I have about 200 started projects.

Rob, it's a curbside. That's why I have converted this one to full detail. The Amy snap kit is just a stock SS , it does not have the GM-X body kit package
