gtx6970 Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 Street car Then in no particular order of preferance ,,,,something a bit more potent. But then again, the spark plugs in the valve covers with 8 tubes sticking thru the hood is a lovely sight to behold
gtx6970 Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 Then again,,, mix up a little nitro and add some pressure does wonderful things to an internal combustiuon engine
Old Coyote Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 (edited) Can't believe no one has chosen the Chevrolet 327 ............... that's absolutely one of my favorites Edited August 24, 2012 by Old Coyote
my name is nobody Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 I have a friend who is an old top fuel dragster racer. while he is no longer in NHRA as a driver, he does build some engines. This is the motor he built for his 1970 Dodge Challenger: Keith Black 512 HEMI. Mooneyham 14-71 Supercharger. Enderle injection. he runs this car on methanol. 1500 horsepower. I've seen this car get the throttle whacked, the frame tweaks and the doors pop open. Brutal.
Jantrix Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 Speaking aesthetically pleasing engines- the Mopar "Sonoramic" Cross Ram Wedge the Ford Y-block the Chevy 348/409 For ease of working on and general reliability- The 225 Slant 6, hands down.
