A question What is the difference between a street machine and a muscle car?

Muscle cars came from a factory, street machines are home built.

Quit simply this is the best definition Ive seen yet. My 67 chevelle was a muscle car when it came of the factory line, but now it is pure street machine now that I have modified it.

LETS SET THE RECORD STRAIGHT Muscle cars.......Came built from the manufacturer., They were all different size bodys. Small mid and big.ALL HAD high performance Engines ..   Some were MUSCLE CARS REWORKED IN DEALER SHIPS.  such as Don Yenko Chevy. In Pennsylvania.  Grand Spaulding Dodge. Balwin Motion chevrolet.  And others throughout the country.  Now the term .....STREET MACHINE.....A modified muscle car .One the has extensive engine mods. Such as. A BLOWER OUT THE HOOD. POSSIBLY. Wheelie bars .. Tubbed rear end to fit some real,FAT. Ass tires. .But heres what happens at car shows. They always have stock.  Then possibly modified. Meaning. More than 3 things not factory.   You have a muscle car. It is modified.  Not factory interior.  Tney have NO modified. Class. But they have a street machine class.  So now your muscle car. Has to be a street machine .

No. Street machine.at my show. For that goat.    Muscle car .. Street machines are like pro street. Blowers out if the hood and the like. 

 I get so pissed when i have to,put my 65 Dodge Coronet MUSCLE CAR..  IN STREET MACHINE. . as thats the classes they have.  Cars not stock ,
