Matt T. Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 Here's one from last summer. I hit it with primer just before starting my 1/12 Chopper and then boxed it up. I took it back out this past week and stood it up on some tires. Almost every dimension has been altered, and it uses the Replicas & Miniatures chopped cab and smoothed hood. I think I'll remove the bottom grille bar and some material from the front valence, then re-radius the rear wheel opening and get it ready for color coats. IIRC, the bench seat from the AMT '57 Chrysler custom fits in there pretty nicely... Stoke!
Guest Davkin Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 Now that will be kooool! I really like the stance. You did something to the fenders too didn't you? You're not going to do a full radius on the rear wheel opening are you? I'd just suggest just opening it up enough to match the front. What color you gonna paint it? David
cruz Posted June 7, 2007 Posted June 7, 2007 Like always Matt, you remind me of Irvin Arter, you guys have that unique touch when it comes to these models........ This looks like something you should finish man, it's a great kit also, in my opinion one of the best Monogram ever produced  8)

I shortened the rear fenders a couple'a scale inches and all four fenders have been trimmed up to line up with the channeled cab bottom. No, not a full radius, like you said - just make it match the front. Colors up for consideration are Tamiya Pearl Blue or Pearl Green, Copper, HoK Lime Gold or just a tinted primer...purple maybe. Thanks for the comments guys!
