CDA Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 Hate talkin about stuff on here, without proof of it! Saw on Ft Bragg yesterday as my partner and i were turnin in old HMMWV parts, an International 9670. Was sharp! had no spoilers, both the stacks chrome! Was pullin a 40'flatbed, with shiny wheels all around!! Naturally, when we were finished, couldn't find him anywhere. wanted to talk to the owner, and get a few pics.
lapazleo Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 07 or 08 when the Argosy was officialy dropped. The majority I saw were in the Pacific nw. Parts wise it shares a lot with the Century Columbia including it's quality. Anyone who drives knows what I mean. Even so would be interesting subject for a model.
mackinac359 Posted February 23, 2012 Posted February 23, 2012 Exactly how I look at all trucks, regardless of aero or traditional brand or style. Tim "...Even so would be interesting subject for a model."
ARTEMIS1759 Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 (edited) Ok all so I don't have to start a new post. I wanted to show what a K200 Kustom would look like. But as my mind usually throws stuff together it takes a right turn. Here is my rendition of a modern K500 Bullnose. Check it out....http://www.modelcars...showtopic=54693...would lead me to see a resurgence in old style. Someone else can repost the pics if they want. I'll just shoot the link. I kept with the style of the K200 and original K500 and spun it off from there. Enjoy. If someone would like to build this (since at the moment this is beyond my capabilities) i could do a few more views for you. Just PM me. All I ask for is the credit for the design (if it is displayed or when you post it anywhere online) and some pics. I actually envisioned this rig like some of you guys have been doing. Stretched with a huge sleeper and quad axles. I can also do a modern rendition of an early 50s reefer to match the truck. I also could do a stretched sketch. Whatever you think. lapazleo Posted February 24, 2012 Posted February 24, 2012 Right on Tim I've built many models of trucks I've driven but didn't care for such as the GMC Astro. Even so they make for good subjects. I agree on the Aussie K models for that matter any Aussie trucks.
tooltas Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 Wene was the last GMC or chevy semi that google tells me a round 1988 and i think is not right..
BigBad Posted March 9, 2012 Author Posted March 9, 2012 1987 was the last year for Chevy-GMC heavy duty tucks.
