realgone58 Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 My HO plasticville gas station. Added blue for the overhang, and chrome foiled the stainless on the building. It's not done yet, some mild weathering is in store, as it's going on the road front for my HO scale trailer park, that is to be set in approx 1961.
Dr. Cranky Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 Alan, those are all wonderful elements for the diorama. Hope to see more progress soon. Thanks for sharing.
Eshaver Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 Alan, it's been years since I saw one of these old Plasticville stations assembled . Great to see a childhood memory come back to life . Its amazing to see just how detailed these pieces were in relation to most other offerings in the era that this kit was origionally manufactured . Ed Shaver
jerseyjunker1 Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 i like it a lot. that is going to look great with the trailer park. don't forget some trailer trash.lol
realgone58 Posted February 20, 2012 Author Posted February 20, 2012 Thanks guys. Yes, I'll have some trash........plan on having an "abandoned and forgotton" section of the park too! These little plasticvilles were pretty well detailed. When I get started on the diorama, I'll post more pics. Right now I'm trying to figure out where I am going to put it! I plan to do it aobut 3 foot by 3 foot.
Raykreations Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 brings a tear to my eye...not just the beauty of the diorama, but gasoline being 28 cents a gallon
Eshaver Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 Ray, you can thank Prius owners for the EXTREME gasoline prices ! Ed Shaver
GTMust Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 Ed... that defies the theory of supply and demand...... I think? Ha ha! Tony
Dave Van Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 That Plasticville station never looked so good!!!! You could be a great model railroader!
