martinfan5 Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 Here is a 67 Eleanor resin body I got from Gregg Wann, this was the first he did for me, but it didnt come out very good, so he cast me a second one, and gave this one as well. So I could not let it go to waste, so this is what I did with it. I put a NASCAR ford engine in it, I used wheels from the 07 Gt500 shelby kit, tires are pegasus. This was just a fun build, and I did not have a sharp #11 blade so it made doing the BMF a pain. I also took the grill from the donor kit body and the paint is MM GTS blue pearl with future as a clear coat
Dominik Posted February 20, 2012 Posted February 20, 2012 It looks very cool - like the color. Not always grey like the real Eleanor The completed body looks very good to me! The only point in my view are the new Mustang wheels. They dont look good on it. Dont know, what kind of rims i would take, if i have one of these bodys from Gregg.
martinfan5 Posted February 20, 2012 Author Posted February 20, 2012 Thanks guys, I am not 100% set on the wheels either, but its what I had that I could work with at the moment, I am looking for different wheels/tires for it.
Danno Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 Nice looking build regardless of the wheels. I, too, like the brighter color on the 'Eleanor' body. Nice to see something different. One thing about Greg Wann's castings ... even his "seconds" are better than most casters' "firsts."

You are right about that, most of the flaws in the first casting(this one) you cant really see.
Dr. Cranky Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 Jonathan, that's one nice and clean models, and the pictures are great too. Thank you.
Dirkpitt289 Posted February 22, 2012 Posted February 22, 2012 Funny when I take pictures of my builds it seems to highlight each and every flaw.Even those I couldn't see with the naked eye. You'res on the other hand looks great from where I'm sitting. I don't see the flaws like you do. This appears to me to be one to be proud of.
martinfan5 Posted February 22, 2012 Author Posted February 22, 2012 Thanks guys, Dirk, some of the flaws are hard spot on it, like one of the things that didnt come good was the bottom side pipes, I had to fill it with putty, but you would only see it if the model was turned over. The over all body was kind of rough, and there are a few holes in front grill area.
