zaina Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 chopped, channeled, and lowered. RMOM ardun and scot blower kit and MCG chopped p/e grille. slow build, but would love to get it done this year.
vwrabbit Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 Where'd you get the tires from? Nice start! Tim
rustybill1960 Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 That is one "wild" flathead Man!! Cool looking build! Thank You for sharing Would love to see it finished Later Russ
DANB Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 Mate hurry up and get this done lol. Looks so bouse already
Erik Smith Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 Is that SCOT blower beautiful or what? I like the direction here.
CanadianKronik Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 Cool build, i had one similar planed for my next project. Were did u get the motor?
DANB Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 Why does that motor look sort of familiar to me? Didn't Jimmy Shine do a blown flathead or something a few years ago in a roadster?
Tom Setzer Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 Shine Built one of the Great Hot Rods of all time, His iconic 34 Ford Chopped an Chaneled Pickup, with a Blown 24 stud Flathead!
Dr. Cranky Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 I think this is a great model you've got in the works. Can't wait to see it in paint.
VW Dave Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 You had me at 'blown ardun deuce'....and I wasn't disappointed in the least. I'm really looking forward to seeing more of this one.
zaina Posted February 21, 2012 Author Posted February 21, 2012 thanks. are you guys talkin about the silver truck with red wheels...pretty sweet. i actually have a 34 on the bench that will be a lot like that one but im going to use an 8 carb hemi instead. as far as this build goes, its been on the bench for a bout a year. ive been struggling on what color to paint it...body color kinda determines frame and motor color for me. hopefully something will come to me soon.
Nate Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 Jimmy Shine's is a SCOT blown flattie. It's gotta be one of my favorite hot rods of all time. It's bare metal, BTW. Wonderful build so far. I've gotta get one of those blowers!
zaina Posted February 21, 2012 Author Posted February 21, 2012 The motor and all of its accessories are from replicas and miniatures of maryland
ARTEMIS1759 Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 Not a fan of a channel job, but its lookin killer with that Ardun.
weasel Posted February 21, 2012 Posted February 21, 2012 like VWDave said, you had me with blown Ardun... please continue...
zaina Posted May 31, 2012 Author Posted May 31, 2012 not much progress but i did manage to spray the engine and get alclad shot on a few pieces.
W-409 Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 This is cool, true Old School Hot Rod! Ardun Heads look good on Flathead, and blower fits perfectly. Body looks nice also and you did perfect wheel choice for it.
Hedgehog Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 (edited) wow that's a heck of a magnificent ride. It's looking good. Plus the small Alclad detail adds a lot to the final job. Edited May 31, 2012 by Hedgehog
Kustom Rodder Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 So far so good nice work with the alclad keep it going .
krazyglu Posted May 31, 2012 Posted May 31, 2012 Wow that is my all time favorite car, If I had to choose just one it would be a '32 and probably be true to Ford with a flathead. As mentioned above your Alclad painted pieces look great. I will definitely have to place a order with Replica and Miniatures of Maryland after seeing these pictures. Really looking forward to more progress on this one.
