bsoder Posted June 7, 2007 Posted June 7, 2007 This is my attempt at building a proper '74 Rrunner 440 I used the AMT GTX kit for the body and the rest is from the '71 Charger..the EXCELLENT decals are Kieth Marks also arrowhead and Dtail Mstr,MV lenses, SHABO and a lot of my Dremel!!,paint is a "mix" of Tamyia ...B
Mike Posted June 8, 2007 Posted June 8, 2007 Great looking car Brian. I love that generation of Roadrunners.
Andy Wyatt Posted June 8, 2007 Posted June 8, 2007 Nice! That color looks pretty darn close to the gunmetal/charcoal color that the factory used in those days. A couple years ago at the Mopars at Carlisle show they gave away a '73 Roadrunner that was gunmetal with a white stripe...great job on yours!
RJWood Posted June 8, 2007 Posted June 8, 2007 The paint and decals look great together, Very nice job B. and also your work on the engine bay is stunning. along with the detail paint on the wheels. Its got it all. Excelent!.
Harry P. Posted June 8, 2007 Posted June 8, 2007 Nice...right down to the RR logo on the trunklid. Boy. you just can't beat a 50s-60s-70s era MOPAR. Chrysler really had it going on back in the day! 8)
bsoder Posted June 8, 2007 Author Posted June 8, 2007 Brian you had to go & do this after I had given up on my 74 RR/GTX kit & begun parting it out into a 69 Barracuda street machine I'm working on!!! That is really good looking. Great work! 8) Well Mark the only thing on the '74 kit worth using is the body and it needed work!! probably make a better Cuda
mikelo Posted June 8, 2007 Posted June 8, 2007 That looks great. I don't know if James Testors is here, but he has a 1:1 that same color (only the interior is white with the red plaid inserts). Love the stripes. The older style road wheels look good on it. Great job.
