LOL, I'm still getting over it. I traded it so I am waiting for the white plastic version to show up. I can't wait.

In hind sight, I wish I would have known about this "collectors" edition because the price bump at the LHS should have been a warning. The regular kit costs 19.99 or something like that and I paid 26.99. I should have known something was up.

You're posting a thread that's nothing more than a link to another thread?

Is that really necessary?

I think so. That's why I posted it. It's in a part of the board that many people may not look at and I thought it was worthy of a look, especially after the negative postings about "nothing' being posted on the board lately. I think this is one of the hottest post to come down the pike in quite a while. I found it very interesting and informative as well as enjoyable to read.Very civel I might add, also no lame attempts at humor, just plain model talk in many interesting directions by many board members.

Ok... I see your point.

I just don't want to start seeing threads popping up that are nothing else but "look at this thread" threads.

Which is exactly what this thread is.

Topics which are worthy of continued discussion will get bumped when a new reply is posted, and those which are not will fade away. You can always bump an existing thread which has slipped off the front page if you feel it needs more attention, too, but that always seems to come off as self aggrandizing and implies the specific topic in question is more important than others.

Kind of agreed with that

Exactly! Topics that have interest will sustain themselves, topics where the interest has dropped off will gradually drop down the page and disappear. That's how a forum is supposed to work. There's no need to "resurrect" topics that you think are important by posting another topic that's nothing but a link to the previous topic! That's crazy. If you want to "bump" a topic that you find interesting, just post a reply in the original topic... don't start a whole new topic talking about where to find the old topic!

I nominate this thread for most redundant thread in a while. LOL

This reminds me of the TV shows about TV shows. I mean jeez there are actually TV shows that talk about what happened on TV shows the previous day! Do we really need a tread that talks about another thread? Why not just post in that thread how cool it is. It bumps that thread, and makes your point.
