Austin T Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 Was there ever a 1955 chevy cameo crew cab or king cab?Just wondering about that for a future project.
Craig Irwin Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 Actualy I was thinking of 1:1. There are resin scale ones.
Eshaver Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 Austin ask at the H A M B , thats where the Hot rod builders would discuss such a build . Ed Shaver
Joe Handley Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 (edited) Don't know if there was a factory crew cab offered, but I don't know of any extended cabs that weren't more modern custom jobs either. Wouldn't be surprised of there resin ones available in both styles though. Edited February 27, 2012 by Joe Handley
Sam Cates Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 Never was there a factory extended/crew cab option for the Chevrolet pickup in the 1950's. However, a search online can turn up custom works such as these.
Fabrux Posted February 27, 2012 Posted February 27, 2012 I know that for 60-66 crew cab bodies were coach built for construction and railroad companies, so its not too much of a stretch to see that extending back to 55. Those would, however, be strictly work trucks and would come with the standard bed only. I believe the Cameos were special trucks and only came in white/red (someone correct me if I'm wrong!).
