Candy paint

Whats the best way to sand it and polish? I've never done candy and I have some dark spots on it and want to get them out.

They aren't going to come out , my friend ! Painting with candies is tough and this is one of the reasons why . You can always try going over it with a darker colored candie , otherwise , you'll have to strip it and start over .

In the future , be sure that you paint is throughly mixed ! The dark spots are created by pigment spits , straining your paint through a nylon stocking will help prevent this .

An ok, well what do I need to do about wet sanding it? And clear?

Try to wet sand it , you have nothing to lose at this point . Look at it as practice , if the spots won't go away , you'll just have to strip it and start again .

True, now it's just patience because I have to wait at least 48 hours for it to cure.

Ok thank you, it really doesn't look that bad from a distance. I may just sand it and move on. I'll see what I feel like after 48 hours.

I used that same paint and it came out with horrible orange peel but I fixed most of that.

After looking at the pictures , my opinion would be to strip it and start over again !

I only use spray Clear the Candy paint I use I airbrush on

Douse it in good old EasyOff oven cleaner. The original stuff not the new odorless variety. It stinks but it'll take that stuff off.
