84vanagon Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 I'll be watching this one... love the 1'st gen Falcons.
Ira Posted March 2, 2012 Author Posted March 2, 2012 I've got a similar project in the works, only I didn't shorten the cab area and the front end is removed completely. I'll be tagging along for sure! Sounds a little like a shortened Lil' Red Wagon! Will it have an engine in the rear? Any photos yet?
hotrod59f100 Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 (edited) Ira you are a mad man. I mean that with the upmost respect . I have been wanting to do a deals wheels take on a modern sports car but I'm not that good so I'll sit here an drool over yours. Edited March 2, 2012 by hotrod59f100
kruleworld Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 that thing is whacked. be interesting to see how you get away with it.
Qwit Pushin Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 Ira, I love this. You are possessed of a rare styrene genius! Keep it going. I've got the pop corn popping! Couldn't agree more. This is like watching a great movie, where you're riveted to the screen waiting to see what's gonna happen next. Don't forget the butter, Doc'.
Ira Posted March 2, 2012 Author Posted March 2, 2012 Another good one, Ira. You are a regular Dr. Frankenshtein! Can't wait to see more. Thanks Dr.! Thinking about Weathering this one, may make it a Dirty Off-Road Truck....
Bartster Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 Far be it for a mere mortal to give you advice, but since you asked...I like the weathered Baja 500 idea. I'd like to see you "muddy" something up!
Ira Posted March 2, 2012 Author Posted March 2, 2012 Ira......you are AMAZING!!!!!!!! Thanks for the kind words John!
RancheroSteve Posted March 2, 2012 Posted March 2, 2012 I'm loving this - you have my blessing! Also, I realize this isn't a factory stock build (haha), but if you don't mind a little "rivet counting" from me: I recommend sanding that lip at the rear of the cab roof flush. All the AMT Rancheros have it, but it ain't right and as the owner of a 1/1, it sticks out like a sore thumb to my eyes. Take a look at a photo of the real thing and you'll soon see what I'm talking about.
Ira Posted March 2, 2012 Author Posted March 2, 2012 Wow Ira you do crank out the projects this does look interesting. Yeah, I have been inspired lately... ...Having a lot of Fun!
Ira Posted March 3, 2012 Author Posted March 3, 2012 Another cool DW style build from Ira! EXCELLENT! You've inspired me to do a build like this as I've mentioned before...I've got one going, and I'll be watching yours! Thanks Jeff! Any progress photos of your Build yet?

Ira Posted March 3, 2012 Author Posted March 3, 2012 Wow,I want to get this kit now. It's a nice kit...
Ira Posted March 3, 2012 Author Posted March 3, 2012 I finally got it (I think). It's going to be one of those weird little things with big tires - like the Willys. Right? Yeah, Deal's Wheels Style!
vwrabbit Posted March 3, 2012 Posted March 3, 2012 And he does it again! Another soon-to-be masterpiece from Ira Picasso! Tim
Ira Posted March 3, 2012 Author Posted March 3, 2012 You are having to much fun. This is gonna look great. Love Cutting Up Plastic...Thanks!
Ira Posted March 3, 2012 Author Posted March 3, 2012 As a major Falcon nut, I'm I'm all the way on this one. Already reminds me of the drawings I used to make in school when I really should have been doing something else. -MJS That's Funny... I did that too!
Ira Posted March 3, 2012 Author Posted March 3, 2012 That's insane - in a good way! Really creative design. When I saw your fifth photo, I was thinking fill in the wheel wells like an old Nash, but your idea looks cool! Sam Thanks for the kind words Sam, Glad you like it!
