Dr. Cranky Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 (edited) For all those interested in checking out the Iwata Airbrush (if you've been considering it), here's an hour long video you can sit back and enjoy. Edited March 4, 2012 by Dr. Cranky
Bill Eh? Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 Thanks Dr. Cranky. I am a self-professed member of the 'IAS' - Iwata Admiration Society. LOL It was interesting to hear an expert's opinion/likes/dislikes of all the models in the Iwata line up.
Dr. Cranky Posted March 4, 2012 Author Posted March 4, 2012 You bet, Bill. I saw this earlier this morning and I remembered quite a few folks here were interested. The NEO is a great starting brush too, which I think they put out to compete with Badger and Paasche, which are also great contenders.
Bill Eh? Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 Dr. Cranky, I'm not really convinced on the Neo yet. Especially after reading Don Wheeler's review. It sounds like the manufacturing process is not consistent yet, at least in relation to assembling the nozzle so that it is centred in the nozzle cap hole. I know that Iwata is really great with honoring product under warranty, but I would rather not have to deal with this particular issue. I think this is why that particular product gets inconsitent reviews... users either love it or hate it. P.S. got your book and love it for sure!
Dr. Cranky Posted March 4, 2012 Author Posted March 4, 2012 Totally, understand and respect that, Bill. Everyone should keep in mind that COASTAIRBRUSH.COM offers a lifetime warranty and free service on Iwatas, so if anything goes wrong, you mail it in and they will get it back to you in perfect working order.
crazyjim Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 I've thinking/planning on the Iwata HP-BCS but maybe now the HP-CS. Too many decisions!
Dr. Cranky Posted March 5, 2012 Author Posted March 5, 2012 Jim, take your time, but you might want to move on a decision before the prices go up, which I suspect will happen before the summer.
moparmagiclives Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 You guys with more then one air brush, how do you store yours ?
Dr. Cranky Posted March 5, 2012 Author Posted March 5, 2012 Shane, good question. I keep mine in a cigar box lined with foam, but also have a circular stand with about 8 holders which I use when I am doing the different paint jobs.
