realgone58 Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 A couple of guys wanted to see this one, so here it is. Stock promo, stock color, just detailed a bit to make it look better. I did replace the generic tires with this old set of Firestones that looks much better.
Casey Posted March 8, 2012 Posted March 8, 2012 It looks great, and I especially like the color. I may even have an old can of DupliColor in that color in my stash. The whitewall tires and hubcaps work well with the stock look, too.
realgone58 Posted March 8, 2012 Author Posted March 8, 2012 It's a stock color called Cypress green metallic, I happen to love the color as well. The hubcaps are the stock Olds promo caps, just blackwashed with the Olds emblem picked out in red.
The Modeling Hermit Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 That's a great build of one of my favorite cars.
charlie8575 Posted March 9, 2012 Posted March 9, 2012 Nice job on that. I wonder how tough it would be to make a Cutlass Supreme, perhaps using the Monte Carlo roof as a start? Charlie Larkin
Eshaver Posted March 10, 2012 Posted March 10, 2012 Weeeeeeeeeell , I see the Illinois Model company is sposed to come back with a similar 72 . Yers looks jus fine to me . I can only hope this up an coming kit maker can deliver the goods to those who may want one as well. Ed Shaver

Ed Shaver Ed, elaborate..............haven't heard about this........Charlie, yes it would be awesome to do a Supreme with the formal roofline. Could be started with the '77 Monte kit I guess.
Captain Obvious Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 Oh, that is fantastic! My first car was a '75 Cutlass S coupe, loved that car!
