need help identifying this vehicle

This ad poped up on my 'puter the other day. Don't care much for the ad, but the truck is cool. Anyone have any info on it. I think it would make a nice model

It's a 1938 GMC, possibly a Danbury Mint diecast. It's definitly not stock.

It's an International harvester... that has been customized....not sure of the year

Upon further research, I've confirmed that it is indeed a Danbury Mint diecast '38 GMC Custom Car Carrier. No longer in production. Seems to have been made around '01. I have the dark blue stock version, they are VERY nice.

I've got the stock Budweiser stakebed version, I agree with Bill it is a nice diecast.

Jada had a similar carhauler based on a customized 1941-47 Ford cab over, I'm sure that would be easier to find and much cheaper while having the same overall look. The Jada diecasts looked like a decent place to start a project, and I think they were only around $20 when they were in the stores.

Almost any (COE) designe of the 40's would prob work they where all similar

Resin Motor Replicas Has a few nice looking COEs from that era, but I don't think they do that particular one.
