My best ideas come to me while under the influence of N2O while getting my teeth cleaned :)

The only problem is that I typically forget what I was thinking about once they're done :(

LOL, you probably would want to spend lots of time at the dentist then! Not me. No sir.

I dunno, I just dream what I do up.................... Ed Shaver

I'm the same way for the most part, because originality is important to me. If I have an idea about a kit and then see one done similarly, I'll usually ditch that plan. After I send out Vinny and Guido to take care of the offending builder.

Having said that, I have in the past been inspired by other builders work, take a cool idea they had and put my own novel twist on it.

Twisted mind is often all we got, but sometimes the work of other builders comes along and really fuels the next spark, like this:

This is a model done by Tatsuya Kaneko

Does the exact opposite to me. Seing the works of the japanese guys, especially the theme choice that is beyond everything, makes me want to quit doing everything that has to do with some crativity, and work at a Ford plant or somethin'.

But I can't, I have to be creative every single day at work, and not only crative, but creative on demand. I have no idea where my inspiration comes from, I just know that ideas have to come out somehow. And that is what I do. Doesn't matter how, I need to express myself one way or another, and although I don't have a permanent vent (like some people for example just draw), I kind of choose my form of crative output. Sometimes I'll draw like mad for a week, then I'll leave it for months just to find out that in this time I was photographing every single day...

Well put, Adam . . . here's something that just bleeped on my radar and it immediately made me think of Chuck Most, but also all the builders here who are constantly pushing the envelope when it comes to different and original builds:

That's neat Doc , and Chuck does build some cool stuff , I loved the mower he made . But you and others have really inspired Me to just try to get clean builds , that's what I am after . The old man sure has helped encourage me as bad as I hate to admit It .

Edited because I fight with my IPad sometimes !
