LAone Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 ahh ok. sounds good man. the interior looks great, the details on the dash pop out nicely.
charlie8575 Posted April 7, 2012 Posted April 7, 2012 Nice work especially on the wheel covers and tissue dispenser. Keep the updates coming. Charlie Larkin

sinicle Posted April 17, 2012 Author Posted April 17, 2012 and thaks a lot guys for all the feedback!
horsepower Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 Do they make one of these that just "chases" in red? Sure would like to find one. Thanks, Del Oh yeah, GREAT build!
Guest halfasskustoms Posted April 18, 2012 Posted April 18, 2012 Yoooo this is my 1st post here, and I'm using it for you buddy............great work man.
sinicle Posted April 19, 2012 Author Posted April 19, 2012 @ horsepower, I make those. If you want one in red only, I could do that. Plus it seems you live in the same town as me, so getting it to you wouldn't be an issue. @ Sam, every journey starts with a single step, I'm honored it was on my build thread.
CorvairJim Posted April 19, 2012 Posted April 19, 2012 This is a great build so far, even though I really don't understand what's up with the "color bar". I LOVE the wheel covers and the tissue dispenser. You dead-on nailed both of them. (Curious: Just what is "The book of Sin"??? )
Dr. Cranky Posted April 19, 2012 Posted April 19, 2012 Thanks for the videos, and that interior looks fabulous. Keep it going. Enjoying every step.
sinicle Posted April 19, 2012 Author Posted April 19, 2012 @ Jim: the thread title comes from my nic name Sinicle. and in the 60's-80's, a colorbar was a popular interior accessory that you mounted under the dash. and when hooked up to your stereo, it flashed multicolored lights in sync with the music. and thanks for looking everyone!
CorvairJim Posted April 19, 2012 Posted April 19, 2012 Thanks for the reply. I never made the conection to your screen name. I'd hope that the 1:1 colorbar wouldn't be as bright as your replica - it would be a heck of a distraction when driving at night! As nicely as this Impala is coming along, I'd hate to have you wreck it because the colorbar ruined your night vision. (... or maybe I'm just too old.)
sinicle Posted May 8, 2012 Author Posted May 8, 2012 got the pulley setup and belts done, got the valve covers and air cleaner finished also (I'll add the script after instalation), all thats left is plumbing and wiring.
sinicle Posted May 16, 2012 Author Posted May 16, 2012 the engine is done. here it is and here is also a reference pic of the 1:1 thanks for looking.
Dr. Cranky Posted May 16, 2012 Posted May 16, 2012 Great engine details . . .you are making progress . . .
