In the background ther is a red pick up truck and a cream colored truck . Id like to know what each is. They were my uncles but through family issues won't talk to most the family . But I'd like to build most of the vehicles that I remember in my child hood or through family pics. Btw I'm the ugly one on the Yamaha back in 91. 0840295a.jpg

The cream colored pickup looks like a '79-'83 Toyota pickup, very similar to this one, but it doesn't appear to have the tailgate latch hooks on the bed ends, so it's probably an '81(?)-'83:

Revell and AMT both made snap-together versions of the '79-'83 Toyota 4x4 pickups, though I think both are the '79-'80 round headlight variety.

I think you'd be better off buying an unbuilt, complete kit to be honest. I've looked over the AMT kit and it looked slightly better to me, containing a few more parts.

I'd say late 70's Ford Courier for the red one as well , the Mazda B1800 (or was it 1600 ?) had a different looking grille down here at least and I think that one's the ford grille .

EDIT > I'm thinking perhaps a fiberglasss canopy on the back of it as well .

On the red one, I was leaning toward a Ford Courier as well.

The side mirror sure looks like the ones we had on our base taxi when I was in the Air Force. plus the grill, just looks like a Ford to me

HTH,

Cheers, Ian

I was hoping it was a courier . I have a extra kit of that. If my memory wasn't all the Japanese small trucks also rebadge here. Lik Mazda and ford. Chevy and isuzu ,dodge and Mitsubishi ?
