rub-on transfers

Recommended Posts

has anyone ever tried rub-on transfers instead of decals?i picked up a package at Michael's with an auto racing theme that i thought would look good on a model and according to the package, they can be used on plastic. Also, could they be clear coated with Future?

I have used them on some race cars, and they work great. Where I had to use several of them to write something (like driver's name and such), I found it easier to get them on straight if I put them on clear decal film and then transfered the whole thing to the model. I used Testors clearcoat over mine without problems, but I haven't tried Future.

Bringing an old thread back to life!

I was wondering if rub-on transfers would work on the clear parts?

I'm looking for a way to put white numbers and letters on the windows of drag cars. I have found some rub-on transfers from Woodland Scenics that looks good, but I'd like to know if it works before ordering them... Anyone tried those rub-on transfers on windows?
