lonewolf Posted June 22, 2007 Share Posted June 22, 2007 has anyone ever tried rub-on transfers instead of decals?i picked up a package at Michael's with an auto racing theme that i thought would look good on a model and according to the package,they can be used on plastic.Also,could they be clear coated with Future? Where I had to use several of them to write something (like driver's name and such), I found it easier to get them on straight if I put them on clear decal film and then transfered the whole thing to the model. John Bowman Posted June 25, 2007 Share Posted June 25, 2007 I have a 1/9th scale Protar motorcycle kit with an entire sheet of there 'rub on' style decals. they have to fit some pretty complicated shapes so I am a little leary about using them. I'm looking for a way to put white numbers and letters on the windows of drag cars. I have found some rub-on transfers from Woodland Scenics that looks good, but I'd like to know if it works before ordering them... Anyone tried those rub-on transfers on windows?
