Photo quota?

Hi.

evidently i have used 9.76MB of my 9.77MB global upload quota.

Other than posting pics via links, what can be done here?

Jon, can you give us more information. What archive type of photo keeper are you using? Or are you talking about a photo quota here on this forum? Please, explain.

You've used up the memory provided by this forum for posting images. Now you need to open a free image hosting account with services like Photobucket or Fotki.

Thanks for the clarification, Skip. I didn't even know the forum had a quote. Most of us, as you know, use either Photobucket or Fotki.

I'm not real familiar with Flickr, but many of the posts I've seen using it can get the images only by clicking on a link. Does Flickr have a feature for directly putting images in a post, like Photobucket or Fotki?

Is there a quota here for the number of pics in a post, or the number of characters in a post???

I've been on several forums that had to increase the number of allowed pics and characters within a single post.

Dunno about here, but at the Scale Auto forums, they only allow 3 pics per post, which is kinda dumb since you can just as easily post several 3-picture posts and it would defeat the purpose.

Many sites have character limits of 10,000 which really limits a decently written Tutorial.

And,

Limits of less than 15 or 20 pics usually require lengthening the Post by making successive Replies.

Crop and/or size your avatar jpeg photo to 200-pixels x 200-pixels. You can use the Photobucket editing tools to get your photo to that size, then it'll drop right in.
