?

MrsG is taking my stuff, and I'll be "on call" that day. This means I'll have to handle something on the other side of the valley for sure.

Which model, if any, was used as a base?

If i'm correct Model car magazine had a feature of this build a while back. Let me read up on it and find out what base he used to start his build. I'm thinking he used a 74 or 76 T-bird

Speaking of Vegas, my wife and I just got back from there and I found the coolest thing in the MGM Grand gift shop (it's actually in about every gift shop in town!). It's a scale version of the "Welcome to Las Vegas" sign that lights up, and it's in perfect scale with our cars!

I'll take pics of the sign next to some of my cars later, but it's really cool having it lit up with my models next to it!

A trivia queston here folks.

Anyone know how many of those signs exist in Las Vegas?

I'm talking about the real deal, no stuff "Welcome" signs.

Any guesses?

There are three actual signs now, two of them are replicas of the original. One is further down Boulder Hwy, and the other two are on Las Vegas Blvd, with the original sign actually being located in Paradise, NV, 4 miles south of the city limits proper. The last replica is further north in the city limits itself on the same highway and reads "Welcome to Fabulous Downtown Las Vegas".

And one more, located on Las Vegas Blvd just north of Lake Mead is the sign that reads "Welcome to Fabulous North Las Vegas"

Well done Allen.

There are 3 different versions of the Vegas Showcar... I honestly think its a tie between David Anthony Garcias version and this one from Armando Flores...

I really should go grab a few of those little signs just to have 'em. If I do find 'em I'll pick up extras if anyone wants one, though I think Wayne can get 'em nearer where he is.

That Lincoln. Yeah, baby! I think I have an old Low Rider magazine from the 1990's that has the 1:1 car in it. OF COURSE I didn't buy it for the pics of the girls. :P
