Brian Nehring Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 It's been a few months since I've posted anything and I was finally able to crank up the airbrush and the spraybooth the other night. I was begining to think I forgot how it worked. Fresh out of the booth is this Revell 1955 F100 black with the usual traditional flames. Brian

pettiner Posted June 28, 2007 Posted June 28, 2007 Brian has a fotki tutorial on his flame painting which I cannot find right now. He uses a liquid masking agent over the body. He then traces on the flames and uses a razor blade to cut out the outline of the flames. In effect all of the black on the truck pictured would be covered by the mask except where the flames go. he then airbrushes the various colors. When it is just about dry he removes the masking carefully and when completely dry, clear coats the entire body. I hope this helps. Brian, perhaps you can dig up that tutorial. Here is the Fairlane Brian painted which I just finished.
