Anyone have a source for decals that would be used for labeling modern day engine compartments? A look under any modern day vehicle has various labels - warning label on top of battery, a few on top of the radiator, perhaps fuse box, fender area, etc. Anyone make something like this in decal form whether it be for cars, trucks, tanks, boats, etc ... so long as it would work under hood and look convincing enough?

Donn, which ones? I've ordered A LOT since their going out of business but didn't see anything for under hood stuff.

I wasn't aware Slixx did a sheet like that, but when I get into photoshop to do my license plates later I think i'll have a go at some. I have some underhood stuff from some modern kits.

The sheet from slixxs that someone refuring to is for rails and funny cars not the new muscle cars etc. I know I have that sheet its for like oil filters, seat belts, blower belt etc. Maybe try Keith that does all the muscle cars.

I agree, there is a definite need for someone to make a sheet of stuff to go on stock vehicles - oil filter labels, numbers for fan belts, fan shroud stuff, battery labels, oil change stickers, inspection stickers, firewall tags, etc.

Neil, yes thats exactly what I'm after. I WISH someone could do some high quality versions because I'd be all over them. Last time I asked Keith Marks to do a custom set of decals he told me "no." Just sayin'

I think the biggest problem with seeing anyone doing something like this is that most underhood markings would have to be reproduced at such a small image for 1/25th scale that unless you have a superior graphics program and quality decal production then the image just might not be legible enough.

Good point Wayne but I've seen some convincing versions come in newer kits but they are somewhat scarce and I don't really want to rob kits for these because I would always be looking for more. I've seen some extremely small detailed decals come from slixx so I know it can be done. Here's hoping someone try's their hand at it.

in particular i know some 90s AMT kits had good ones for Delco battery decal and I think a fan caution. I wasn't even thinkin when i did my 97 bird and didn't scan the sheet.
