Roadkill2525 Posted April 19, 2012 Posted April 19, 2012 (edited) 1/43 AMT kit, looking at a dark metallic gray with the current Dodge fender slashes in red. Edited April 19, 2012 by Roadkill2525
Roadkill2525 Posted April 21, 2012 Author Posted April 21, 2012 Put a guide coat on, some areas on the body to smooth out and fill a couple of sink marks on the chassis
62rebel Posted April 25, 2012 Posted April 25, 2012 why does it have those forward-slanted c-pillars? the box art shows a normal-roofed Barracuda.
Roadkill2525 Posted May 18, 2012 Author Posted May 18, 2012 Got the gunmetal sprayed, a little lighter than I wanted but still looks nice. The fender stripes will be done in a bright green.
FASTBACK340 Posted May 18, 2012 Posted May 18, 2012 You knew it wouldn't be long before I'd stop in and take a peek.... This is a neat little kit and that's a great color choice, but your going to shoot green instead of the red slash stripes? I'm not a fan of the C piller shape either, or the GTO scoop, but it IS a second generation Barracuda. BTW: What wheels are you going to use?
Roadkill2525 Posted May 18, 2012 Author Posted May 18, 2012 The red stripes seem overused so going with a green. Im doing this out of the box so it'll have the Cragar S/S. As for the sail panel shape, I don't know why its like that. There's also a error with the Cougar and its box art.
FASTBACK340 Posted May 18, 2012 Posted May 18, 2012 I think I have all the various versions of this kit. I really should build one of the duplicates. BTW: If you shop some of the cheap die casts you might find more options. I found these on a swap meet $3 `32 Roadster. I popped them on this 1/43" Satellite with a quickie alumin um roll bar. Took me all of 20 minutes to put together and I think it looks cool....
