Nice job on all these John. I really enjoy your clean builds of the lesser known rides, brings back a lot of memories. Those Montes were the class of the field back then.

All of these Monte Carlo SS's are classy. That was such a classy design and it was from an era when NASCAR still had its innocence, for lack of a better phrase. I just can't identify with today's NASCAR.

Me either. This era was the last I really liked, even though I kept watching up until a few years ago. When they decided that Darlington wasn't good enough for the Labor Day race, they lost me forever. I mean, thats tradition, man!

Yes sir ....... Geoff Bodine drove that car to a win in the '86 Daytona 500 :D

Back when Hendrick was a one-car team IIRC. Or was it the 5 and 25?

Hendrick had the 5, the 25 of Tim Richmond, and the 17 Tide car of Darrell Waltrip.
