I have to say that this is one of the better forums. And for the most part, all the moderaters give us the room to have debates, speak our minds as long as we follow the rules.

i agree with everyone here. this is a great site and i only wish i had more time to spend here. i have only been here for a short time and everyone has made me feel right at home. thanks to all the great members and all of the people responsible for keeping it going. i have gained more knowledge here than websters dictionary.lol

Harry, Some stuff goin on here is kinda funny. The other day, we were talking about the Rolls they want to sell in china. You made a comment, I made a comment, nothing malicious, at least i didn't think it was, and I gotta rather gruff PM from a mod who took me to taks about my comment because he claimed to be of chinese decent! He told me he did not like my post, so it was deleted. I don't care, I just thought it rather odd that now we have to please a certain moderators ego. I said NOTHING bad about the folks and it was just in a conversation on a thread, but he evidently took it personally, like it had been directed at him. It wasn't and it wasn't derogetory, he just didn't like what i said, so he deleted it. Must be nice to just delete stuff one doesn't care for. Also goes to show how some folks personal peeves can kinda take the fun out of things. Yeesh, it was a pleasent conversation between forum members, and like I said, I didn't say anything bad about the chinese people, just thought it was funny that they chose China as the country to introduce it in, caz it seems they got all the money these days. Was that a no-no to say???

All I can tell you is that we have several moderators, and they all act independently. No moderator needs an ok from the other moderators before they act. So if one certain moderator had an issue with something you posted, that would be between you and that moderator. I can only explain the decisions that I make.

Thanks, Harry, that's not what I was hopeing to hear but I guess it makes sense. So the rule must be we have to watch what we say, even IF WE DON'T think it's being rude or disrespectful? Like I said before It's kinda hard to relax and have fun when you DON'T know what some folks hang ups are. It could get me banned just for bein myself and havein fun. I guess too many mods DO spoil the soup. Oh well, Imma just be me and just have my fun,like I always have, you know by now I never mean any harm, unless someone attacks me personally. But that's cool, I can play nice.

Yeah it can. I myself mod a site where there are three of us, and we DO confide in each other to make decisions on how our forum will be run. But this is NOT MY forum, so, like I said, I'll play nice. Hopefully I won't get banned for havein fun!

That right there is going to cause huge problems.

The fact is, all the moderators have different schedules. We're not all online at the same time. Sometimes one moderator will be online, see a problem and act. It's almost impossible for a given moderator to see a problem, and then have some sort of "conference call" with all the other mods and have a group discussion as to what should be done. Sometimes other moderators are offline for days at a time. If there's a flame war erupting and one certain moderator who happens to be online at the time sees a problem, he can't wait for days until all the other mods log on and chime in with their opinions. Every moderator has to have the authority to act immediately and independently.

There has always been some awesome builds here. A lot of good builders have left, one or.two because some here didn't like they way the posted. I know I haven't been around and I understand there are some new mods here. I suggest talking with your fellow moderators if you think that something that was directed to them was rude, talk to them about other issues so that you can match the.punishment with the offence.

At least THAT would be fairer an it does make sense. For just one person to be able to pull the plug on a member here IS kinda one sided. So if I'm not liked ,it only takes one person to ban me??? Not a good plan at all, to me. Glad I get along with Gregg an Harry pretty well. Never had the chance to talk at length with Romel, and I never talked with that other mod EVER till he gruffly told me i was out of place. Didn't think I was but, hey, THAT'S the way the game is played here. Still ain't leavein, so I guess I'll just watch an see how it goes. Sometimes nuthin changes but the date.

Clay, a Mod here limited my ability to post because he decided I was as he put it arguing in with a mod in a reply I made to something another mod had posted. That other had even posted more in the thread after mine and did not seem to have an issue with it because he said nothing about it.

Then when I inquired as to have someone look at my post on threads to approve it I get this "I'm not the mod that restricted you so it's not my place to approve you post" well kind of hard to get the other guy to do it when he isn't around.

Another Moderator I asked about it had no issue with reviewing them and posting them for me.

There seems to be a very big disconnect between the ones that are minding the store and a lot of favoritism shown to a select group of members!

My opinion: This is Gregg's forum. If anyone is going to be banned, I'll leave that to Gregg. Ultimately I feel it's his decision.

It's true that he and I talk about certain members, what to do with (or about) them... he asks me my opinion... but actually pushing the ban button? I won't do that unless Gregg oks it first.

Its great to see moderators edit threads to make themselves look good and that they can't handle it when told something is wrong.
