signguy2108 Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 Here's a few more pics. Still in the building stages. Revell snap kit, Italeria frame & wheels from some kit. 8" stacks are copper tubing covered w/ chrome vinyl from my sign shop. The end from a cheap bic pen provided the 8" to 5" reducers. Still have to paint the mud flaps and build headache rack (lumber hauler) & other details.
Jim B Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 Looks good, but I wouldn't be driving that under any overpasses any time soon!
signguy2108 Posted April 27, 2012 Author Posted April 27, 2012 Need to trim em a bit. When hooded to a van trailer, they are only about 1/4 " to tall. Diameter of them makes em look tall. I've goy a buddy that just installed 8's on his 1 to1 Pete. They look the same way.
baloney Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 very nice stripes. orange; i just love on a truck!
Chad Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 That looks amazimg, I love the style. Im doing a p51 themed truck using the exact kit and aabout the same wheelbase! I love the name too....oh and for your scratchbuilt chrome items, BMF has a new edition of foil that matches the kit chrome perfectly! Im using it on my other build right now also. Chad
signguy2108 Posted April 28, 2012 Author Posted April 28, 2012 Chad called it sherbert the other day when I posted under new projects, so I left it at that. Thanks, Chad!
Chad Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 Lol,. Thanks, now I feel special haha, its a gorgeous truck! Chad
trick my mixer Posted April 28, 2012 Posted April 28, 2012 It looks great. Any Peterbilt with a small sleeper and big Pipes and old school paint job gets my vote. It really gives it that west coat LARGE CAR look!!!!!!!!!
