Jackson Michigan model contest

July 6-7 at Ella Sharp park Jackson Michigan. In conjunction with the Kustoms of America car show. Registration all day friday and saturday until 3, awards at 5. $5 per car load for spectators into the car show. No entry fee for the contest. Model contest will be held indoors. 10 classes.

Honestly I have never stepped foot in that place . Next time we're in Jackson I will try to check it out though.

White's has good food. I used to work there WAY back in the day. Never been to Klavon's though, been wantin to go.

Will there be vendors, or is this strictly a show/contest?

Its a car show, swap meet, model contest, entertainment, and fun for all.

I'm already getting a couple builds wrapped up and ready, definitely looking forward to this. Will the models be displayed indoors or outside in the hot sun?

The model contest will be indoors. They have large clear domes for us to put the model under to keep strange hands away from all our hard work.

that is good to hear, I haven't entered a contest in a long time because the last one I went to (mind you this was years ago) I had a Revell '69 Charger R/T dropped and broken because children wouldn't stop messing around & trying to play with the models (nobody was supervising the table whatsoever). If that wasn't bad enough they were outside under a tree, so birds pooped on the table/models. Not a pleasant experience.....

Never been to Jackson- is the traffic as horrid as it is in Lansing? If not, I might try heading down there.

Nothing like lansing. But then again I've never been to Lansing. Just kidding, hopefully they have the one bridge done, if not you'll have a small detour to get to Ella Sharp park.

Bridge won't be done. They're predicting the end of August for that (uh oh for fair traffic, huh).

ATTENTION. A small change has been made to the model contest this weekend. There will be NO model regestration on friday. We will be ready for people and models saturday morning. This is now a one day show. Saturday July 7.
